The New Century American Irish-Arts Company is a private corporation, not for profit, dedicated to the artistic furtherance, cultivation, and preservation of Irish traditional music and dancing in the United States. We help traditional musicians, dancers, teachers, and researchers produce vocational work that brings traditional culture to the public.

  • THE CRABTOWN FROLIC

    ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND — 26–28 September 2025

    The Crabtown Frolic is a three-day cultural festival featuring intimate performances, presentations, workshops, social dances, and music sessions.  Located in downtown Annapolis, Maryland, it showcases unamplified performances of traditional music in 18th and 19th century rooms to explore the symbiosis of historic spaces and music.  It demonstrates for modern people the aesthetics in which our ancestors entertained themselves using the gifts of their creative genius.

  • THE MOUNT CLARE CONNECTION

    6 December 2024, 7:00 p.m. | Cockeysville, Maryland

    The Mount Clare Connection plays Irish and American traditional music in regional styles from Maryland.  At its core is an expansive duet between the button accordion (Peter Brice) and the fiddle (Joanna Clare), supported by rich accompaniment on the guitar, five-string banjo, and tenor banjo (Richard Osban).  

  • THE BALTIMORE TRAD FEST

    BALTIMORE, MARYLAND — 3–6 April 2025

    Some of the world's finest traditional Irish musicians will gather in Baltimore to teach workshops, perform and lead sessions. The Trad Fest is back and bigger than ever in 2025!

    Highlights will include all-star concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings at the Creative Alliance featuring the Trad Fest Instructors, Trian, and Open the Door for Three, workshops on Saturday and Sunday, and sessions all weekend long.
